Let's Speak the Truth

Yes, it is Historic and it needs to be acknowledged as such:

Last night I sat and watched history in the making, along with countless others across the globe, as President Trump met and sat down with Kim Jong-un of North Korea. This was by no means some inevitable moment in history rather it was a moment crafted, and that came to fruition, by the vision of President Trump. In the lead up to this summit there were various political pundits telling us all why this was “a failure in the making” or why it was a “meeting of mutual dictators”. The media couldn’t help themselves trying to find every reason to predict failure and get their collective shots in at the president. Over on MSNBC we were treated to the hysterics of Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews attacking the character of the President calling him “one of two liars at this summit” (The other being Kim). They went as far to express that whatever was discussed would be relayed to the world as “a lie that couldn’t be verified”. Well I guess these geniuses didn’t get the full itinerary of the day because after the 45 minute meet and greet the two men were then led to a working lunch where actual details were discussed in detail with General John Kelley, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and National Security Advisor John Bolton in conjunction with their North Korean equivalents. Were all these men (and the translators) in on some massive conspiracy to relay “lies and deception”? (See attached video to hear these irresponsible journalists with their own words). The same types of stories played out across the various lettered news outlets. From CNN to ABC and from CBS to NBC the press were uniformly rooting against the success of the President as well as the best interests of the world.

With all the media hysterics aside, the reality was being played out in front of us all. The President of the United States was standing with a man who just 7 months earlier was taunting the world with weekly rocket launches and threatening to attack the west coast of the United States and Guam. There was a battle of words where the President went to the United Nations and delivered a very powerful speech outlining why the Korean Peninsula needed to be denuclearized. The nickname “Rocket Man” was born as was his promise to deliver “Fire and Fury” if the tests and the aggression didn’t cease from the North Korean regime. With all this animosity in the air the President kept his eye on his end goal. That goal was to find a way to achieve an end to this 70 year old conflict and get stability into this region of the world. He immediately rearranged his cabinet and released Rex Tillerson, inserting the CIA director Mike Pompeo into the role of Secretary of State. Once sworn in Pompeo arranged a meeting with the North Korean leader and immediately went out to meet him over the Easter weekend. This is what real leaders do. They engage and they take brinkmanship as far as it can go, and once they are at the line they enact their plan.   This is where we are now. We are at a new day in the world where just last month, due to the actions of the President, we saw Kim Jong-un take an impossible step, figuratively and literally, across the demilitarized zone into South Korea and embrace their leader. We saw the North Korean leader leave the safety of his home country and travel to Singapore for the unknown to meet our President. Again these things weren’t inevitable. The back channeling that had to occur in order to make them comfortable was nothing short of extraordinary. So today here we are with a meeting that familiarized them with each other, theoretical frameworks were agreed to, to dismantle the nuclear program and the remains of American soldiers will shortly be returned home to rest after 70 plus years in exile. Not a bad outcome from a man the left repeatedly calls “unprepared”.http://http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/willingness-to-lie-guarantees-both-leaders-benefit-from-summit-1253576771611

The long range questions will be answered in time. Will Kim Jong-un go the way of his father and renege on his commitment, will he bow to pressure from the Chinese, Russians and Iranians to scrap the agreements? (They all have much to fear with the entire Korean peninsula allied with the US). Will he allow Trump to act as a guiding father figure to him and help the young 34 year old turn North Korea into a new land where freedom starts to spread her wings in a place that has known nothing but cruelty and sorrow? It is my guess the later will occur because the President will shepherd this effort throughout all its phases. He reportedly showed the dictator a video last night of the future state of North Korea with resorts, golf courses, ocean properties and a world class rail and highway system. A way of life that could bring untold wealth to a nation that has suffered under sanctions for far too long. This was a move right out of the Reagan playbook. Decades ago Ronald Reagan had Gorbachev taken up in a helicopter to show him the luxurious homes of California as an incentive to ditch the communist way of life and reap the rewards of a capitalist society. Gorbachev was quoted as saying “I had no idea the extent of the wealth in that nation”. Well President Trump has proven to the world that he has a command of history as he ushers in a new day, full of promise and hope. A day that will need to be “trusted but verified” and a new day that history will hopefully look back on and say it all happened because one man believed in the promise of freedom that exists in the hearts of all man. Well done Mr. President. This was indeed historic.

  • “The President will shepherd this effort.” Brilliant Brian👍🏻
If only ppl would open their eyes, their minds and their hearts and stop the lunacy🙏✝️

    • Thanks Peggy! Yes indeed if only the reality of the situation would be looked at, the world would be a better place. The left refuses to find anything positive even though it surrounds them on many levels. Trump is achieving things Obama only spoke of and had no capacity to complete.
