Let's Speak the Truth

It’s not a Caravan; It’s Politics on the March

Over the last several weeks the nation has been witnessing a long protracted march of  so-called “asylum seekers” moving their way up from Central America and through Mexico on their way to crash the southern border of the United States. The numbers of these people has swelled to about 7-10 thousand (depending on the news you read). Once it started, the leftist press was covering this 24×7 as they sought to make this a political albatross, trying to hang it around the necks of the President and the Republican Party. But something happened on the way to heaven for these people and what they perceived as a galvanizing and unifying force for the leftist base, actually turned into an eye opener for the rest of the American public. The rest of us saw this as yet another attempt at the watering down our national identity and a total violation of our nation sovereignty. (More on that in a few).  It is reminding the nation why they chose to vote for President Trump.

This “caravan” (Don’t you just love the euphemistic names the left assigns to their friends?) is anything but a “procession” or a “convoy”. It is an organized mob of people working in concert with far left groups to rile a political movement just in time for our midterm elections. Their public position is that they are simply oppressed people looking to seek asylum in the United States and that under the guise of asylum they should be provided immediate passage and safety into our nation. Well its time that as a nation we look under the covers of this premise and have a serious national debate/referendum, settling this once and for all. Settle it to the point that even a “Millennial” could grasp it. (God I am so sick of these self-righteous, pretentious little SOB’s and their whiny culture…you just want to grab them by the collar and scream at them “Listen you little pukes in my day etc…). We need to not only define what it means to seek asylum as well as the appropriate resolutions, but we also need to make the process as transparent as possible and hold countries accountable for their obvious transgressions against their own people.

To start, the mob working their way up here are not asylum seekers for several reasons. Never in the history of asylum seekers has a pack of people picked up “passengers” along the way on a multinational march to a country over a thousand miles away. Never have folks deeming themselves oppressed and politically unwelcomed in their home lands set out on a march. If their plight was so dire in their native lands they would be hiding in the hillsides waiting to escape under the cover of darkness, not lining up for their pals at CNN and MSNBC to waive the checkered flag to commence the march onward to our southern border. Does anyone else think it odd that these people are marching here under the actual flags of their native countries? I mean the homeland is so detrimental to their personal safety yet they feel compelled to waive the flags as though they are entering the opening ceremonies of the Olympics?

We have a process that is broken (broken on purpose) in our country where we have a set of laws on the books to handle true asylum seekers but it is chronically undermined by the rhetoric on the left. The left gives a wink and a nod to the law breakers and provides enough rhetorical cover to the illegal aliens that they have no qualms about their mass invasion. Why should they when they hear the minority leaders, and their members in the House and Senate, refer to them as “dreamers” or “undocumented immigrants”? Where are the teeth in those names? Where are the announced penalties to illegal actions when we actually are granting drivers licenses to them and allowing them to vote in school board elections? (Happening in San Francisco (shocked you are, I know)).

Taking this argument to a moral realm for a moment, we almost can understand why these people think the way they do. Why would these law breakers think their actions are immoral when we have countless Bishops and priests in the Catholic Church arguing on their behalf and trying to shame us all into thinking we have to allow all of them in because this is what Jesus would want us to do? Well as a Catholic I say their attempt at moral shaming is shameful in itself. Were Jesus here in person I would like to believe that he would look at the totality of the arguments and decide from there. I think Jesus would look and ask the simple question “Can a nation have its own borders and its own sovereignty regulated internally? The answer would be a resounding “yes they can”.  What would Jesus say about the responsibilities of the people leaving a country rather than staying and fighting for their fellow citizens and their nation? I would think he would say that able bodied men have a moral responsibility to change their own lands and not march towards another as though it were the land of Eden. The leadership of the Catholic Church has become a disgrace over the last several years. The problem is many of these people from these nations are identified Catholics so when these clerical leaders utter such false assignments of our obligations to them, they hear this as a sanctioning of their actions and feel God is on their side. The fact is God is not on their side and nowhere in the history of our theology has there been a pronouncement via “Ex Cathedra”, biblical passage or words directly from Christ that one must allow their homeland to be invaded with the locals providing the basics of life to all who enter. There is rather a moral obligation incumbent upon all men and women to abide by the rule of law and not assume others possessions are yours for the taking.

Now back to our happy little mob on the run towards us. There have been several theories floated about why this is happening and the timing of it all. The first assignment of blame is the usual suspect of George Soros. Soros is the rabid anti-American billionaire who seeks to influence anything that will adversely affect our country. One theory is that he calculated sending this mob our way would invoke sympathy towards them and entice Hispanics and Independents to go to the polls and install a Democrat majority in the House of Representatives. There is also a belief that his business interests were rooted in the old NAFTA agreement and now that President Trump has drastically altered it, adversely affecting his stake, he seeks to force a standoff with the United States and the newly elected (leftist) Mexican government. All of the above could very well be true. One must ask themselves how these people are being fed, sheltered etc. on an over 1000 mile trek. How are they passing through Mexico unabated, when everyone knows you do not get to utilize any root through that country without paying off the drug cartels there? Who is providing the transportation and fuel costs? (They aren’t walking here no matter how much Don Lemon openly cries on his national broadcast about the “plight” of these folks and their “painful migration on foot”).  The other theory is they are being assisted by radical and well-funded leftist groups (still tied to Soros) as well as hijacked religious organizations such as CRS (Catholic Relief Services) (I stopped donating to them years ago). We may never get complete answers to the how, why and when, but one thing is very clear and that is that this is a coordinated plan with one thread of similarity running through it all. It is a movement by those who actually and openly despise our country, own ideals, our laws and our people. The end goal here is to saturate our nation with enough poor people who will vote Democratic and reinstall these ousted leftists back to power. Were this “caravan” plane loads of Irish, English, Swiss, Australian, Germans, Icelanders etc., seeking to escape their own leftist governments for a land of conservatives, you could guarantee Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren wouldn’t be at the airports invoking the “Give me your tired and huddled masses” rhetoric. Suddenly the rule of law would need to be upheld. (The funny thing is conservatives would still insist they all need to go home and apply legally).

The movement afoot now is a political one being orchestrated by people so obsessed with power that they will say and do anything in order to regain it. From falsely accusing a Supreme Court candidate of bogus charges to an orchestration of illegal aliens invading our nation, the time is now to put an end to this movement. They are a craven lot who seek to intimidate the masses with name calling such as racist, multiple iterations of “phobic” and anti-immigrant. This is simply a canard. We are a nation built upon the rule of law and not some banana republic. These folks screaming their disgust with us are the same people who believe “You didn’t build that” rather the government did. It’s a true insight into how they think. They see the United States as theirs to command and dictate. In order to do this they need an army of uneducated and desperate people to maintain and sustain their power. While most of us look at this gang headed here as invaders and illegals, the left sees them as reinforcements.

  • I cant understand why this invasion and who is financing it isn’t being investigated by DOJ? Why is Soros aloud to constantly disrupt American politics? The man should be charged as an enemy of the state.
