A Party of Rhymes, Slogans and Meaningless Stunts:

Most of us remember where we were when the jury announced the verdict for the OJ Simpson trial back in 1995. What we also remember is that famous line that was used in the case to help acquit Simpson, “If it doesn’t fit you must acquit”. It was a theatrical tactic Johnnie Cochran used as a “hook” to get the jury to focus in on one thing, and disregard all the actual evidence that clearly pointed to the fact that Simpson murdered his wife Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Cochran was a master of identity politics and knew how to appeal to the worst instincts in people. After the trial, one of Simpson’s other attorneys, Robert Shapiro, was so disgusted by the defense he said in anger, “Not only did we play the race card, we dealt it from the bottom of the deck”. He was referring to the fact that the purveyor of sleaze, Cochran, went to such lengths to win, he didn’t care who got in the way of his mission or what tactics he employed, he was going win at all costs. There are many similarities in Shapiro’s anger then and what many of us feel now about what is happening to our society and to our nation, with a Democratic party that operates in this very same mold. (Cochran was a dyed in the wool Liberal Democrat by the way).

With one manufactured controversy after another these days we are constantly being subjected to the insanity the left wants to impose on the country. The worst part of it all is that almost every one of their causes is phony, but it continually gets pushed into our national discussion to the point that we have no choice but to continue to respond. However if you try and push back on any of these people, immediately you will be called one name or another. You are a racist, homophobe, transphobe, xenophobe, nationalist (that’s code for racism according to these folks), bigot, anti-woman, anti-immigrant etc. You come to expect the charges to be hurled at you the moment you engage with them because it is all they know how to do. Most often they do not have command of any of the facts rather they simply want to virtue signal to the world, telling us all what good people they believe themselves to be, as they smear all of us as Neanderthals and outdated reprobates of society. According to them, the world would live in such peace were it not for the likes of us. Damn us and our reasoning and thinking things through to their logical conclusions. I mean who do we think we are?

Let’s start off with the issue that I think drives most of us insane and that is the incessant rhyming and chanting of absurd slogans as though they were running an ad campaign. From “Hey Hey Ho Ho Donald Trump has got to go” to “Donald Trump lied and people died”. Stop them right there and ask them to explain why they have this opinion of him. What will follow will not be any answer to your question, rather a slew of insults towards you because you aren’t sophisticated enough to grasp the depth of their anger and  their well thought out chants. They will degrade you, spit at you and use all four letter words at their disposal to shut down your arguments. We saw this play out this week when Judge Jeanine Pirro made the mistake of appearing on that cartoon of a talk show “The View”. As soon as she entered the program to talk about her new book, she was verbally attacked by Whoopi Goldberg, who falsely claimed that candidate Trump said “All Mexicans are rapists and criminals” (He actually said that rapists and criminals are all that Mexico wants to send us, to rid themselves of the problem, and he was spot on). As soon as Pirro tried to respond, Goldberg went into her act of being so appalled that she was ending the interview. Her rationale for being “offended” was that Pirro had the nerve to suggest the left was suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. (A joke on the right that anytime Trump is mentioned they seem to go into meltdown status). Why was Goldberg really so outraged? We all know it was because Pirro started to cite the statistics of the economy, low unemployment, military successes and resolve etc.. Goldberg, ever the charlatan, realized she was outmatched and decided to retreat to the playbook of outrage and name calling. A tactic she used once before when Bill O’Reilly appeared on the show. She, and the resident half-wit/failed comedienne Joy Behar, staged a similar walkout. Relying strictly on revving up a pretty lightweight audience, they play the martyr role as a way to eclipse straight facts from embarrassing them. They pretend they are standing up for the greater good and common cause. The problem was that after all the theatrics ended no one got to hear Pirro and her points of view which is exactly what the gang at “The View” wanted to happen. They look like champions for the “disenfranchised” while Pirro comes off as the aggressor for daring to challenge the liberal orthodoxy. (After the cameras were off, Goldberg proceeded to rip into Pirro telling her to “Get the F**k out of the building”.) (These are some high class people aren’t they?)

Another glaring example of this sloganeering and chanting occurred out in front of the Supreme Court a few weeks ago when President Trump nominated Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. The mob descended down there with signs the read “ No to XXX”. They had them premade days before the announcement was made, determined to stand in the way of anyone nominated by the President. The XXX was filled in once he made it public who his choice was. Once the signs were ready to go, the mindless revolt ensued with the “Center for American Progress” (Socialist organization), NARAL, Planned Parenthood and the usual Democratic operatives drumming up screams and shouts of protest. Utterly predictable foolish antics were underway with attempts to rhyme “Hell no on Kavanaugh”. You could hear the one male speaker actually trying to rhyme Hell no on, with Kavanaugh. It was a mob mentality with speakers screaming and spitting into microphones about how all “women will suffer” “minorities will be back on plantations” (Reminiscent of Uncle Joe Biden accusing Republicans of “wanting to put y’all back in chains”) as well as “they’ll take away the rights of women and minorities to vote”. Does anyone really believe this stupidity that a Supreme Court Justice will have slavery re-instituted or will repeal the right to vote? Oh and one other quote came out there that night (they just can’t help themselves) “Keep your Rosaries off my Ovaries”. A typical anti-Catholic chant by the guttersnipes, against people of faith for wanting to respect all life in the womb. Just imagine if a conservative gathering included a chant of “Keep your Koran out of my Constitution”? (We can try and make it rhyme)  My Lord, the left would be yelling about the end of days and on the lookout for the 4 horseman of the Apocalypse. Oh and of course bringing up the rear (how appropriate) was Maxine Waters back at Capitol Hill, that same night, regurgitating the usual tired chant of “Impeach 45”. (For what, nominating a Supreme Court Justice?)

With football season approaching we are about to be treated to the Super bowl of Democratic stupidity, that being the protesting of the National Anthem by millionaire football players (who should be forced to go back to high school and retake history classes). These players mistakenly decided last year to follow the lead of Colin Kaepernick as he launched his anti-American campaign by sitting during the anthem. They are promising to do the same this year and most likely will up the ante with their liberal progressive allies cheering them on. Nothing stokes the anger of the American public more than when the flag of the country and its veterans are disrespected like this. What else should we expect from the same crowd that jeered and spit at returning Vietnam Veterans, calling them “baby killers” and did all they could to help us lose that war. (One very senior North Vietnamese commander famously stated “America had that war won but lacked the resolve to finish it because of the activists back home”). This stunt saw revenues and attendance plummet last season. That trend will only accelerate if the fan base sees it continuing on. When the National Football League Players Association was pressed on the reason for these recent protests, the answers were typical and quite pathetic. “ We are protesting “Wealth inequality” (quite peculiar coming from multimillionaires), “Racial injustice”, “discrimination”, “LGBTQ rights”, “Women’s Rights” blah blah blah.”   So let’s get this straight, these players are protesting the nation in order to advance every left wing cause for the greater good? They are aware most football fans are conservative men right? They have even gone as far to say that the outrage against the protests are racist.   These people can’t seem to get out of their own way. Beyond the slogans and the stunts, their complaints either have no foundation or the public doesn’t agree with them. Who can forget the Saint Louis Rams players running out of the tunnel with their hands up signifying the “Hands up don’t shoot” lie from the Michael Brown episode. An episode where this thug tried to kill a police officer after robbing a store. (Isn’t it cute how they referred to him as “Mike Brown” as though he was just some innocent kid from the neighborhood?) The Rams players held press conferences insisting this was a racist shooting. It was two weeks later when it was black residents of Ferguson who debunked this lie of “Hands up don’t shoot”. (We never did hear from those players the following week). To date every police officer shooting that the NFL players cited as a bad shoot, was legitimate and justified. We also never heard a word from these malcontents when they whipped the public up into an anti-police sentiment chanting “What do want, Dead cops, when do we want it, NOW”, or in the early stages when they got involved with the militant group Black Lives Matter and subsequently 5 Dallas police officers were gunned down by a BLM member. The media did all they could to spin the story that this was some “lone wolf incident” but we all know this public trashing of the police caused the murders. If the NFL wants to continue along this path they will experience protests like they have never seen before. Their owners (No profile in courage) want to play both sides. They have agreed to penalties for kneeling against the flag but also have promised to pay the fine for them. With the exception of Jerry Jones, the rest of the owners are moral cowards. (A little known fact is that the NFL refused to let the players in Dallas wear commemorative decals for those 5 slain officers because it violated their dress code). Whatever happens I am willing to bet that a nation that has spilled blood in its defense, and the defense of others, will never be conned to support this bogus narrative of the nation. The nation they call racist is the same nation that fought a war, passed laws and marched to bring about equality for all people. Without the help of the “white privileged”, they wouldn’t be where they are. Perhaps these guys should spend more time in their old neighborhoods protesting drug dealing felons and murderers than guys who fought and died in Mosul, Pointe du Hoc, Vietnam, Korea, Okinawa, Tikrit, Cambodia, Mogadishu, France etc. No matter what they tell you this is exactly what they are doing. They are pawns of a fanatical leftist movement that hates all we are as a nation, and all it stands for. This stunt will backfire once again and fail miserably. Once the President rightfully weighs in, again, on the side of America, it will send them into the stratosphere with rage and indignation. I cannot wait to see it happen.

If anything, they are a creative bunch. From making people believe something such as “White Privilege” actually exists (I must have missed the membership drive), that law abiding citizens are the reason for gun violence, all police target minorities (there really aren’t dangerous criminals in these neighborhoods, just racism), all pro-life folks are Nazis (Peculiar term assigned to those seeking to save lives by those looking to extinguish lives) and America is a racist nation (even though it fought a Civil War over the topic and helped end the slave trade from Africa with the Slave Trade act of 1807). To be blunt they have no interest in the truth or facts. They don’t follow ideas to logical conclusions, rather engage in group think, and identity politics. They believe they can chant and rhyme their way into relevance and engage in political stunts such as kneeling, blocking highways, screaming in the face of opponents or demanding impeachment when they don’t get their way. Aren’t these the same folks who chanted Ad nauseam; “When they go low, we go high”? Yeah about that……..
